It’s more like an animation with some cool ideas and jokes. I’ve played it on easy and finished the game with some fun moments but the challenge feel gone. If u r not a gaming nerd or a serious old-school gamer do not think about to play this game normal or hard difficulties. It’s an entertaining trip down memory lane for those who enjoyed (or suffered through?) the original games. Likewise, there are generous checkpoints/autosave positions and other such mechanisms to keep things from getting too repetitive and frustrating. The combat isn’t quite as fleshed out or as satisfying as it good be, but the game is primarily a series of varied minigames, so nothing overstays its welcome. It takes a little while to pick up speed, but is actually downright hilarious at times in its self-aware assessment of a series that hasn’t seen a release in two and a half decades.
With that aside, this is exactly what I was looking for in a Battletoads remake.
